We have some exciting news!!

I have been completely missing in action for the last few weeks due to the fact that we are expecting another baby!  We have seen the little jelly bean, and we have heard the heartbeat on two separate occassions.   The morning (or as I like to refer to it...the all day) sickness has completely taken over my life.  I have felt absolutely miserable, and have therefore done as little as possible over the past six weeks.  I have no idea what I would have done without my amazingly supportive husband, flexible child, supportive friends that had Taylor over for play dates and had us over for dinner, and my parents who have sent over countless dinners.  I feel as though I may be turning the corner now (at 12 weeks), and I am starting to read blogs, respond to emails, return phone calls, clean my house, and cook (the sight, smell, and thought of food still is pretty repulsive) some small things- like muffins or grilled cheese.  We are getting there though, and we are getting more and more excited about the new little Parker that should be joining us at the beginning of January!

Taylor has been such a trooper.  We have stayed at home a lot, and Taylor has truly learned how to play by himself while mommy takes a nap.  Therefore, I don't have that many pictures of our summer adventures so far.  We made a couple trips to the playground to play in the sand.  We have also spent a ton of time playing with Emily and Sarah on their new playground.  Thanks, guys, for having us over so much!  I plan on taking Taylor to the pool, to see the new Toy Story III movie, to the Children's Museum, the library, and so much more this summer.  Hopefully, there will be many more fun pictures to post (and post more frequently) in the future!

Here is a picture from our 8 week appointment.

The garden is in bloom!

Here are a few shots of my garden.  There is already a tiny baby squash and a handful of small green grape tomatoes.  I can't believe that they are already here.  It will be a while until we can harvest them, but at least  we know that they are starting to grow.  Last year, I would see all of these beautiful yellow blooms on my squash plant.  I would get so excited, and then the blooms would fall off...no squash!  This year, I at least have the potential for many beautiful squash, zucchini, and tomatoes!!

Our weekend

Here are a few fun shots of our weekend.  We spent the weekend relaxing, enjoying great food with my parents, a trip to the zoo, putting together our new compost bin, practicing golf with Dave, and a few naps here and there!

The sweetest cupcake birthday party!

On Saturday, we attended a 4th birthday party for our sweet friend and neighbor, AnnaKate.  Of course, her mom, Kelly, went all out with her cupcake themed party.  Everything was perfect- the cake, cupcakes, cookies, decorations, and more.  Thanks, Kelly and AnnaKate for a great time.  Happy 4th Birthday again, AnnaKate!
