My mom has worked for weeks (if not months) on Lauren's Christening gown. She finished sewing and hand smocking it last weekend, and it is stunning! The all white dress has the most subtle pink touches and a beautiful madera hem. I absolutely can not wait for Lauren to wear it.
We are having Lauren baptized on Mother's Day this year. We had Taylor baptized on Mother's Day as well when he was just a few months old. It will truly be a very special day!
I stopped by my parents house today to get a sneak peak of the gown my mother is making and smocking for Lauren's baptism. While I was there, I noticed that Lauren was wearing a very similar dress to the one that I wore as a baby in a picture in the living room. My mom mentioned that Lauren is the same age that I was in the picture. Naturally, we had to snap a picture (and include the stuffed lamb that I once had as well). I think that we look quite similar. I definitely see Dave, but I also see me. I think that she is definitely a good mix!
We also have Taylor as a baby at the similar age in a similar setting with the lamb as well. Of course I have to throw that picture in as well!
When the temperature is 80 degrees outside, it is hard to do anything other than want to be outside all the time! We wrapped up our weekend with a good walk around the neighborhood and a trip to the playground. Taylor was a little upset that the sandbox is closed for some sort of repairs. However, he found plenty of other spots that were just great for digging!
My heart absolutely melts when I see Taylor or Lauren sleeping on Dave's shoulder. It almost takes my breath away.
Tonight after baths, we did a quick photo shoot. Not many of the pictures turned out, but a few were definitely worth sharing. I just love how much Taylor adores his sister. I also adore the way Lauren's little rump looks in those monogrammed bloomers!
