Taylor really wasn't sure what to think of his first snow. When we went outside, he immediately noticed that things looked different. He was very interested in looking at the snow on the bushes, trees, etc., but wasn't much for touching it. I think the coldness of it was a little shocking to him. Sorry for lack of post recently. A lot has happened since the last one (9/4/07). Taylor has gone from the "inch worm", to crawling, and know he is pulling up to his feet. He will probably be running around after Baxter by the time we get another post up. Anyway, we know your here to see the pics so here you go. Enjoy!
We ventured out to the Zoo for the first time yesterday. We are not sure how many animals Taylor actually saw, but we are certain that he enjoyed the Pot Bellied Pig. We held him right up to the fence, and Taylor smiled and giggled while staring at this huge pig four inches away from his face. We will definitely make more trips there as he gets older.
So far we have fed Taylor avacadoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, and bananas. We fed him bananas today for the first time, and he LOVED them! He repeatedly spit out all of the other foods, but bananas he was able to keep in his mouth. In fact, bananas are the first food that he opened his mouth for and was excited to eat. On Saturday morning, Dave finished assembling Taylor's high chair while I prepared his first cereal. Taylor did really well in the highchair. I think he may have been a bit confused as to why it didn't move like all of the other things that we strap him into. We were really amazed at how well he opened his mouth for the spoon and that he actually ate the cereal. Ultimately though, he really just wanted to lick the spoon and play with it. He did manage to get down a good four spoonfuls before we started to see the grimacing expressions. We were very pleased at his first "real food" experience, and are looking forward to introducing him to an avocado and sweet potato very soon!
